The city whose history goes back to the age of the Romans. London is one of the Muggle world's leading business, financial, and cultural centres. But don't let that fool you. You'll find magic where you least expect it.

The city of love! The most Ancient Magic there is.. This is a place of neutrality, the Switzerland of this wizarding war.

The house of the ancient empire. Be wary in your step Regime, for it is said one of the main Rebellion hideouts lies here.

Each of the four houses have a common room located here that are password protected.

"'PEEVES!' yelled an angry voice. 'Peeves, come down here at ONCE!'

'Not doing nothing!' cackled Peeves, lobbing a water bomb at several fifth-year girls, who screamed and dived into the Great Hall. 'Already wet, aren't they? Little squirts! Wheeeeeeeeee!' And he aimed another bomb at a group of second-years who had just arrived.
'I shall call the Headmaster!' shouted Professor McGonagall. 'I'm warning you, Peeves –'
Peeves stuck out his tongue, threw the last of his water bombs into the air and zoomed off up the marble staircase, cackling insanely."

Beware of Peeves as you enter.

It is a vast chamber with an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Four long tables for the four houses. Closest to the doors from the Entrance Hall is Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and next to the far wall, Gryffindor The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room.

All of the rooms that can be accessed through the corridors can be found here. This includes the Library, Hospital Wing and Room of Requirement along with many other possibilities.

Classes at Hogwarts are taught in a variety of locations about the castle. Some, such as Charms, are taught in classrooms inside the castle. Feel free to come indulge in some magical learning.

The Three Broomsticks is the popular pub in Hogsmeade. Not that is has much competition from The Hog's Head. Come in and have a drink!

A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly (such as floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti), located just off High Street. The only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples.

"They make a fuss about Hogsmeade, but I assure you, Harry, it's not all it's cracked up to be. All right, the sweetshop's rather good, and Zonko's Joke Shop's frankly dangerous, and yes, the Shrieking Shack's always worth a visit, but really, Harry, apart from that, you're not missing anything."

A "tiny, dark platform" where the Hogwarts Express ends its journey north from Platform .Nine-And-Three-Quarters. The station is located near the lake, and from there a road extends around the lake to Hogwarts Castle. The station is actually quite a distance from the town itself, being on the opposite side of the Hogwarts grounds.

Falsely rumored to be "the most haunted building in Britain," the Shrieking Shack is a favorite stop on any Hogsmeade visit. However, the wails that were once heard emanating from this creepy building were not in fact ghosts, but rather Remus Lupin transformed into a werewolf. The shack, in fact, was built when he came to Hogwarts, allowing him to transform a safe distance away from the other students. The shack cannot be broken into from the outside, though Fred and George have tried; it must be entered instead through a secret passageway, the mouth of which lies under the Whomping Willow.

In the first uprising and the take over of the regime, the ministry was destroyed. One can still take the visitor's entrance, but few have dared to enter the unsafe structure.
