Wrote a reeeally short poem to go in my 'folio for English.
Tell me what you think, cause I'm rubbish at poetry.
Read it in a Scottish accent if you can. If no one is familiar enough with Scottish people to hear it in their heads, I can put it on youtube.
Ghosties When the cupboard door creaks open alone, You tell yersel’ it’s nothin’ Auld hinges.
When stormy winds rattle your window pane, You tell yersel’ it’s nothin’ Auld windies.
When the pipes creak and groan under your floor, You tell yersel’ it’s nothin’ Auld plummin’.
But in the dead of night, On’y the moon for light, The ghosties lurking might -just might Have a wee bit o’ fun, And gi’ yehs a fright.
