The Abdon/ MacFinlay family.
All of these people will have Scottish accents. I just like them that way!!
A Note On Names
Griflet's family were named long ago, when he was first created on a Merlin site (actually, it was about a month, month and a half ago. On my Merlin site). Abdon litterally means Son of Don, hence his Daddy's name. The rest I chose either because I like them, or because it fits with the Arthurian legends.
Mother- Isolde Abdon
Muggle born woman. Dark hair, with light eyes. She's a kind soul, and very much like Griflet in spirit. She has not joined the resistance because she has Angie to think about, but that is the only reason she hasn't joined her son and nephew. She loves the tales of King Arthur and his knights.
Father- Don Abdon
A stubborn man, who loves his family. Much closer to Griflet in appearance than Isolde, but further from him in temprement. He would not join the rebellion alongside his wife, if she were to sign up. He does not want Ministry attention brought down on him and his own. He enjoys the legends of King Arthur, but not as ardently as Isolde. He will no longer admit to have reading him.
Sister- Angharat Abdon
Only five years old, Angie is a little angel. She has the same dark eyes and hair as her brother, but her hair can usually be found in uneven plaits. She's bright and inquisitive, which is something her mother quietly encourages, while her father stomps it down.
Aunt- Morgause MacFinlay
Isolde's sister. She's a Resistance sympathyser, but is officially neutral. She's fiercely proud and independant, and has the highest respect for her son Gawain. She has never been married, and became pregnant with a man twice her age when she was twenty four.
Cousin- Gawain MacFinlay
In his late twenties, Gawain is also a member of The Resistance. He has the proud, independant spirit of his mother, fused with the humbly charismatic aura Griflet sometimes drops his guard enough to let shine through. He's very similar to Griflet in appearance, but has inherited the MacFinlay blue eyes (he actually looks like a young Aragorn {viggo style} with pale blue eyes in the style of Felicia Day. He has a very specific look in my head). He's a bit of a 'player' with the ladies and the gents alike, and tries to teach Grif what he knows about wooing... with varying success, depending on how lonely Grif is feeling at the time.
