Ricki laughed as she pushed open the door the the three broomsticks pub. It was a hogsmeade weekend, and the streets of hogsmeade were alive and buzzing with laughing, chatting students. It was a plesant day, although there was a slight chill and a coolish breeze blowing. It never was boiling hot in england- unless ofcourse during summer holidays. But during that time, no one really was at or anywhere near Hogwarts. Unless you were wizarding folk and visited the village of Hogsmeade. Ricki's wavy blonde hair was let loose on her back, and she was wearing muggle clothes- some fitted light blue jeans, a full sleeve white top, and a black scarf wrapped around her neck.
Ricki wore a scarf more so because she thought it looked quite cute, in comparison to the fact that she was genuinely cold. "Kay, you make me laugh." she mused, shaking her head at something Kay'd just said. Ricki, Kay and Grace were all together at Honeydukes, but Grace said she'd needed to buy herself something else, and that she'd meet the other two back at three broomsticks, hence Kay and Ricki were now walking in through the doors of the sort of crowded pub.
Most of the other people were too busy buzzing about in shops to want drinks yet, so the place wasn't as buzzing and full as it normally would've been, but Ricki did spot a couple of third years who were entering the three broomsticks for the first time.
She giggled slightly as she caught sight of them before she looked back to Kay. "Did you really sit on the cat, or are you just kidding?" she questioned, still giggling. She shook her head against as the two moved forwards and took a seat at the bar. "Hey! Terwynn! Hi! How're you?" Ricki smiled polietely. Terwynn knew Grace, Kay and Ricki quite well- they always came down to the three broomsticks every hogsmeade weekend, and often chatted to Terwynn when the pub wasn't too busy.
"Kay was just telling me about how he accidently sat on Emma's cat. I don't think he's serious though- are you Kay?" Ricki repeated again giggling some more as she spoke. "I never know wether you're serious or not when you say such things! You keep such a straight face!"

Kay grinned as he spoke "Yeah Emma's still mad at me, I accidently sat on her cat last night". He was speaking of a girl in his house. She had a pitch black cat that was near impossible to see at night, yet it was his fault that he had chosen to sit on the chair which her cat was sleeping on. He followed Ricki through the door of the Three broomsticks, listening to her laughing. He sighed happily as the door swung closed behind him. The pub was a pleasant change from the cold outside. He was dressed in blue jeans with a long-sleeved t-shirt under a jacket and a scarf around his neck.
He stopped himself from laughing at Ricki's next few words. "I'm glad to see you find me so entertaining" he said teasing her lightly. Their other friend Grace had gone to buy herself something else and had told Kay and Ricki to go to Three Broomsticks solong. He walked just behind Ricki through the pub that wasn't crowded just yet. "Looks like we got here before the mob" he commented glad that they could find good seats before the pub became overcrowded.
He nodded at Ricki's question, "Yip and I've got the scars to prove it" he said and held up his right hand where Emma's cat had bitten him. Even with her cat biting him Emma had given him a few angry looks. "You should have seen Emma's glare, if looks could kill I wouldn't be standing here" he said keeping his face straight. He sat next to Ricki at the bar, grinning at her. "Hey Terwynn" he said echoing Ricki's greeting. They would often chat to Terwyn when she wasn't too busy. He nodded at Ricki's question. "I'm being serious, I can show you the bite marks again if you still don't believe me" he said blinking innocently at Ricki. He turned his attention to Terwynn, "So how you've been?" he asked her.

trouble i'm in trouble nowi'm in trouble ya'll i'm in trouble double time "Clearly better than you mate," she replied with a snicker. The students were all coming over for the weekend and that was when Terwynn's business was at its busiest. She enjoyed the company of the young folk since it basically meant her place was still a hot spot if they came. That and the fact that Terwynn had no problem slipping a few drinks illegally to the few she actually was cool with. Times were tough but she trusted Ricki, Kay and Grace than most students.
She was wiping down the counter when the two came in. Terwynn had her hair down and her usual uniform of a tight black top and skinny blue jeans with black boots. It was a professional way to dress for a bar/restaurant but also a way to show off her curves and get tips. Being the owner of the place got her more points with the regulars. Tucking a piece of loose hair behind her ear, she smiled warmly at Ricki and Kay. "I've been fine. Tryin' to stay out of trouble you know?" she said. "How about you two. Where's Grace? She is usually here to start some kind of intelligent conversation." Terwynn giggled and took out three glasses for the kids. Two she filled with Ricki and Kay's favorite drinks, the third she filled with firewhiskey for herself. Drinking with the customers was always fun, but it was tradition for her and the "trio". She would do it again if and when Grace decided to show up.

"Oh wow, that is quite bad." Ricki mused, tilting her head to gaze at the scars, although her voice was lowered, because her 'pestimistic comment' as the Regime put it, wouldn't be appreciated by many sitting around them. "Well, the moral of the story is, one, make sure you light up your wand when you enter a dark room, and two, always check that there isn't a cat on your seat before you decide to sit on it!" she trilled, laughing as she spoke, looking from Terwynn to Kay. She shook her head, as she took her glass of butterbeer from Terwynn- she loved how the bartender always knew what the three friends wanted.
She took a sip of her drink, before smiling at Terwynn and replying politely to her question. "Grace's gone to buy something," Ricki asnwered, "I think she's running out of stationery, but i'm not sure. Maybe she just feels like getting something like those edible quills from the new sweetshop from down the road." Ricki rolled her eyes, giggling at her own words as she took another small sip of her drink, relishing the warmth as it spread through her body.
Ricki turned her head to look at Kay instead- he was probably the smartest of the trio, the fact that he was in Ravenclaw sort of proved it. Ricki and Grace, both Hufflepuffs, weren't the smartest pair out there, but they weren't the stupidest either. The girls were fairly average, and it sort of helped when they hung out with a smart guy- it motivated them to do better in a way, seeing the two girls often went for 'girl power'. Ricki laughed internally at the thought, "So Kay, did you manage to fit any revision in this morning? Or were you too busy wollowing in self-pity due to those scratches?" Ricki teasted, wrinkling her eyes and sticking her tongue out at Kay, before she giggled and turned back around to exchange an amused glance with Terwynn.

"Yes it is" he said and a grin appeared at the fact that Ricki lowered her voice as she spoke. The regime laws were ridiculous and if their roles had been reversed Kay probably would have spoken outloud not caring who heard what he had said. Seriously did they really expect people to smile and say 'how nice' if some one fell and broke their leg, probably. "Yeah I guess there has to be a moral to the story" he said laughing.
Kay nodded at Ricki's words. "Or she's suddenly decided that she needs to buy something at Zonko's" he said grinning and take a sip of his drink, "And we also count as itelligent conversation, I'm not a Ravenclaw for nothing you know" he added pretending to take slight offence at Terwynn's comment about Grace being the one to start an itelligent conversation.
Kay rolled his eyes slightly at Ricki's words, of course he had managed to fit in revision that morning. "It was tough but I managed to work through the pain" he said cheekily with an innocent look on his face. They all knew that Kay managed to get the best marks out of the three, he never bragged about it though. He had always found bragging to be petty and he didn't need to make other people feel bad just so that he could get a self-esteem boost.

trouble i'm in trouble nowi'm in trouble ya'll i'm in trouble double time Terwynn smirked and shook her head. "Oy mate don't start talking about Ravenclaws with me," she replied while pouring herself another drink. "You know you're talking to a former one." She playfully tapped the side of her head with her pointer finger with her smug smirk and then took her shot. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssss," she said. She enjoyed her afternoon/evening shots. They always made the current events seem more tolerable.
Every night had been a bit difficult for Terwynn, business-wise. Because there was a bloody curfew and silly rules, people that normally enjoyed to party after hours couldn't come. Terwynn could remember her wild days when she visited Hogsmeade when she attended Hogwarts. The Three Broomsticks was her favorite hang out along with the rest of her friends. But now, most of them were dead or M.I.A. or just part of the Regime. She sighed at the memories and stroked back her hair to get her mind off of them.
She looked back at her customers/friends and smiled. "So how are you're classes going?" she asked curiously. "Are they still as fun as I remember?" She was sarcastic of course and her only favorite classes were DADA, Dueling and Astrology. Unfortunately the first two were no longer taught in Hogwarts... thanks to the damn Regime. Lucky for Terwynn, she remembered every single thing she learned from that school, as well as her ability to hide a DADA book within her home where no Regime member could find it. It was a well kept secret, since trusting anyone wasn't easy.
