Dust rose from the collection pages that made up tattered book in Tammy's hand. The spine had multiple fold marks and in places, small tears lay on the folds. Gentle hands opened the ancient book, taking care not to let the loose pages fall to the ground. Bright blue eyes danced across the yellowed paper that was aged by the slow pass of time. She ran a finger over the delicate paper ready to fall apart at a rough, jerky touch. A tiny smile grew at her lips as one of the few things she actually loved lay in her hands but held no threat to her. Its knowledge brought power with it and calmed her deepest desires to achieve her goal. The constant worrying fell away as she calmly delved into a new world. To be someone else that had everything they desired and were strong enough to keep it. All something she had never managed to do. A huge regret about something she could never go back and change. Now, leader of a group of people upon the brink of war, would she too manage to be triumphant in her endeavours or fall like countless heroes in the modern world. How many more would fall with her? Would she wish she were dead before the end or would she not want to live once it was over? Such heaviness lay upon her heart. She pushed the thoughts away. It was folly to speculate on something that may not even come to pass.
She let a small sigh escape her lips as she looked up from the pages to room around her. She stood in the far corner. A place reserved for old unwanted books that hoped that one day somebody would hear them screaming out forgotten knowledge. It was probably the only books in the shop that weren’t censored, just for the fact that nobody really cared about them. The room was bustling with people that seem so disconnected with the world. That passed from day to day without thinking about what was happening, merely continuing life, and the chore of living it. She smiled wryly. This is where you saw people's true nature, in long queues where life becomes hard and makes a person impatient. Most people hate queues. Not her. The glimpses of humanity that waited there created a sense of knowing the world. If you want to see a person's real nature, stand in the way of them paying for the things. They aren't that good, deep down; they don't really care about the eyes that watch them or the people they talk to. It's all just a set of lines on a stage they create for themselves.
They're all actors on strings to their desires and self made gods, totally controlled by them; controlled by the Regime. Looking at them stands as a reminder that they're not so different then who she is. They all just had fallen prey to an out of control ideology restricting their choice of life. If one thing Tammy knew about, it was acting on this stage of life. She had to act as Tanya, a fairly naive individual who refused to take a stand on any side; Tanya, the muggleborn orphan who did not feel the need to give her allegiance to anyone only the greater good of humanity; Tanya, the one who avoided all tough topics with a simple smile. Books were just a way of making it easier, making it somewhat bearable to watch the days run on by a created identity. Yet all of this life around her was valued, even if she disagreed with what they were doing. Smiles danced across faces in the room. People argued, some rejoiced. It was so unique to this day yet all the same. As usual, she was on the outside looking in. Some things never change but she wouldn't have it any other way.
She looked back down to the book it her hands; it held memory to the people that wrote it and the times they lived in. The only time they would ever get as now is the only time she would get. The best of it; of all the dark times and the times of laughter and happiness. What did she do? Lie in the shadows and hide behind a faux identity. She ran her fingers through her ebony hair that held that stood as her identity as another person. She closed the book gently and ran her fingers over the place where a title should touch the book. All there was was old black leather with one fleck of gold. All the mumbles of the world around her were blocked out as her interest in watching them faded. There was no identity to the book, as though it had forgotten who it was. Tammy herself feared that she would forget herself and become this made up person.
She slowly made her way toward the queue and then paid for her book. A polite smile went a long way as she was soon out of there. She made her way down the London High Street and found herself a Starbucks to lose herself within it. While the choice may have seemed random, she had chosen that specific place for a reason. She ordered herself a hot chocolate and settled herself in a booth by the window. Gently, she retrieved her book from the plastic shopping bag and began to read. A few of the pages were missing, so Tammy frowned, and glanced out the window. She doubted anyone would find her here, but there was always that possibility. She had left a message on the wireless for the Rebellion members to show up at this particular shop, counting on the fact that nobody would find her here. Business was slow on this sluggish Tuesday morning, and while a few people had seated themselves, most just popped in for a takeaway. She doubted that she hold the entire meeting here, playing with the option of moving the group if it became too large.

Caleb, unfortunately, had to apparate down to Diagon Alley, and make his way walking from there in order to reach his destination. The Regime couldn't keep tabs on where people apperated, but if they were to enquire him about where he apperated to from the Ministry on this eve, atleast he could be partially honest as quote 'diagon alley'. If he were spotted on the way, whilst walking, he could always just say that he were out for some fresh air- it didn't really matter now, did it? Cal was dressed in muggle clothes- a pair of black jeans and a white t-shirt, and a greyish-blue checked button down shirt on top, although, it wasn't actually buttoned up.
Cal knew how to dress the way the muggles did, he could effortlessly pass for a muggle male as well. He placed his hands in his pocket as he stepped out of the leaky couldron, giving the barman a nod of acknowledgement as she made his way down the slightly breezy streets, smiling at any woman who looked partially worth his time. The red-heads, he found rather over-rated- personally he preferred women with black / brown hair, but he'd settle for blonde too. It's just... redheads were a no. They looked too full of themselves, and Cal had a big enough ego to make up for two- he didn't need a clash when it came to being overly confident for one's charisma and looks.
A small smile lingered on his lips as Cal stopped outside a muggle coffee shop called Starbucks. Cal didn't actually know... why the muggles would name their coffee shop something like that, but then again, he didn't know how muggles think. Muggles would probably find 'three broomsticks' or 'hogshead' a weird name. Cal shrugged the thought off as he pushed the door open- nothing suspicious about entering a coffee shop. Everyone knew Cal was partial to the coffee here- madam puddifoots just made him feel sick in the stomach... it was all so icky and gross. He shuddered at the thought of the sickly sweet little coffee shop, before shrugged that off his mind too.
Instead he concentrated on the neutral colours of Starbucks- he quite enjoyed it here, and mmm it smelt so good!. He stood in line, staring at the menue pinned up on the wall, trying to choose what he felt like having. By the time it was his turn to stand forth in the line, he ordered himself a cappucino with cream, 'on the go', because the plastic containers facinated him to no extent, and he waited at the side counter for his drink- picking up the plastic container and grabbing himself a straw, before he searched around for some familiar faces. A small smirk appeared on his face, as he realized he was rather 'early' for the meeting.
He moved forwards quietly, as he spotted the back of the lady's head who he was here to see. He leaned over, so his lips were inches away from the female's hair,"Boo." he whispered quietly, laughing to himself as he made himself visible. "Perhaps we should head upstairs?" he indicated to a small staircase that lead to a second level of the coffee shop- and once you were on the other side, quite close to the bathrooms, on that level- there was a small door, labeled 'CLEANER'S EQUIPMENT' through which you could enter, and a sprial staircase would lead its way down to a basement. The basement which had enough magical protection, that it would take the Regime forever to penetrate through it, as long as they wanted to keep the vote of the people on their side. "I'm sure everyone knows where to come."

It was easy for Tammy to fall into a state of vacancy, especially when she was alone. Thoughts merged to form a separate world in which Tammy relaxed into. Sighing, she took a sip of the warm hot chocolate, enjoying the velvet sensation. She had to admit, however, she made a much better hot chocolate than this one. In this state of mind, she was ever so placid, and utterly unaware of those who moved in out and of the shop. She knew that it was stupid to get lulled into this sense of security so easily as even the remoteness of this shop was visible to unfriendly eyes. Her eyes wandered over the half empty drink and she wondered if she should acquire the energy to get herself another one. Laziness took over, pushing the faint desire out the way. Allow her mind to drift again; she vacantly opened the book in front of her. It seemed to be filled with old, lost wizarding tales, each section dedicated to another story. Vaguely interested, she skimmed over the context, taking in the valour or foolishness of the people in the story.
Tammy had no doubt that if the book fell into the Regime’s hands, it would be destroyed. The stories seemed to promote free thought and critical analysis of the world around people. She enjoyed reading the tales, focusing on one in particular; a foolish little girl trusting those who were close to her by blood instead of her real friends. While the story itself was a little more cryptic than that, Tammy quickly had deduced the message. Instantly drawn into story, Tammy related herself to that silly little girl who had learnt her lesson a tad too late. She closed the book gently, feeling her tension rise and the claustrophobia taking over. It was silly to read such irrelevant tales anyway.
Still a little tense, it was not the best time for anyone to approach Tammy. She bit her lip and gazed out the window listlessly. She hoped that they would get here soon but a glance to the clock on the wall told her it was still half an hour before the meeting was scheduled to start. A small soft voice startled Tammy out of her silent endeavours. She felt the soft breath of a person ever so close. A brilliant memory shot through her mind and all rationality left her. Before taking note of who it was, her hand swung up quickly to back hand the person on his cheek. Her other hand quickly put her wand to the intruder’s torso. Wild images of possible threats came to mind, each escalating to some unfounded nameless fear. Suddenly, she was that little girl again but this time, angry. When she did turn around and take note of who it was, her stomach dropped. “Caleb!” she gasped softly, putting her wand away and turning to face him. “Oh my, I’m so sorry!”
Cringing at her impulsive act, she placed her hand on his cheek where she had struck him. She bit her lip, utterly embarrassed. Gently, she trailed her fingers over the red that was beginning to form. “I’m so sorry,” she repeated, feeling as though she needed to say much more to make it ok. “Sorry, just a bit... tense... sorry.” She trailed off feebly, and smiled faintly, “Heading upstairs would be a good idea.” An apologetic smile once again crossed her lips and glanced around at all the suspicious glances from people in the small pub. “Perhaps we should go,” she said hurriedly and linked her fingers through his and quickly moved upstairs, her bag in the other hand. “Sorry about that. Forgive me?” she asked as she stopped at the top of the stairwell and glanced at the door behind which the Rebellion would meet.

Nalean grabbed the ipod off her bedside table. She frowned as she looked around the room, trying to remember where she had put that damn wig. "Ugh whatever" she muttered to herself figuring that she wouldn't need a disguise for muggle London. It wasn't as though anyone would look for her in non-magical parts of London, besides it wasn't as though anyone was looking for her. Well not as far as she knew. She grabbed her wand and stuck it in her back pocket. She was wearing muggle clothes, as usual- blue jeans, a blue t-shirt and sneakers- nothing that would make her really stand out.
She walked out her flat and locked the door, she glanced around and when she was sure that there wasn't anyone watching before she pulled her wand out and cast a few charms on the door. She had basically been ordered by Caleb and Tammy to do that everytime she left her flat. She walked quickly down the steps, she could have taken the lift but lifts freaked her out slightly. She just always felt claustraphobic in lifts. She walked along the sidewalk, not bothering to take her bike. The Starbucks was close enough that she could just walk.
She walked the few blocks to where the Starbucks was located, pausing outside briefly before entering the muggle coffee shop. This specific shop became an extremely popular student hangout during exams and testweeks at the muggle university she was studying at due to the supply of caffiene for students. At least the coffee here was actually coffee and not that coffee flavoured sugar which madam Puddifoots.
She took a deep breath, taking in the smell of coffee. She stood in the line waiting for her turn. When she reached the front, she ordered a filter coffee, some would say that it was a boring unadventurous choice. She would simply then point out the fact that it wouldn't be boring and unadveturous if she 'accidently' spilt it on them. That would usually stop people from telling her she was boring, boring people wouldn't simply 'spill' coffee on some one's lap for critisizing their choice.
She looked around the shop, as she grabbed her coffee, looking for Tammy. She found both Tammy and Caleb and walked in their direction. She had a cheeky grin on her face, guessing that Tammy would moan at her about her not wearing that stupid wig. She bit her lip to stop herself when Tammy, taken by surprise, backhanded her brother. Typical, Caleb sneaks up to some one and Tammy surprised because she had been too absorbed in her world too notice. She frowned when they left the table and started to walk away. "Hold on wait for me" she said rushing after them.

Caleb continued to chuckle at Tammy as the two began moving. He couldn't help but laugh- her reaction was oh so amusing. Well, atleast the girl had good reflexes- he still remembered this girl he knew back at Hogwarts, someone could jump on her back, and she wouldn't react to it. In a way it was a good thing- it'd often leave the person who jumped on her back feeling stupid and frustrated, but Cal never did figure out if she just chose not to react, or if she genuinely had reflex issues and couldn't react fast enough, so just let it go in general.
Ah- the past was the past for now. It was the future and present that he had to concentrate on. More the latter than the former. He shook his head, not wanting to speak much until they got into their basement when he heard a voice call after them. He turned around, expecting to see a brunette version of his sister, and critisize Tammy once he'd taken the mick out of his sister for a while, but instead- he saw the natural blonde. What. Was. This. Girl. Doing?
Not that Cal had anything against her natural blonde hair- he thought it suited his sister beautifully, but jeez- what happened to having a disguise?! Cal frowned for a moment as she got closer, before narrowing his eyes playfully. "Leana, not that I enjoy staring at you with brown hair- 'cause frankly its disgusting - but jheez woman, you've gotta have some sort of disguise! Carrying muggle gadgets isn't enough!" He scolded, pulling his sister into a bit of a headlock as he dragged her through the door that would lead to the basement really quietly. He held the door open for a couple of seconds to allow Tammy through as well, before he messed up Leana's hair and rolled his eyes.
"Seriously Tanya, teach her something! One- fashion sense, please, do you, or do you not want a boyfriend?!" he tutted playfully rolling his eyes for a second time, before sighing and letting go of his sisters head. He made sure the door was locked and no muggle had spotted them before the he started to lead their way down the spiral staircase which lead to the Rebellion meeting place. "Huh, what happened to your wig Leany? Did you accidently feed it to the owl?!" he teased, - it was a habit of his, he just couldn't let things go when it came to Nalean. He absolutely loved teasing her, and annoying her- it was just one of their sibling thing.
"Seriously, I don't know how you passed your OWLs or NEWTs. I swear you bribed the examiner!"

To both Tammy’s outrage and amusement, Cal began to laugh. She narrowed her eyes at him threateningly and the hand that had been soothing her blown with soft strokes, tapped his cheek sharply again, but playfully. “You know, you could at least pretend my apologies have been accepted and spare me from my embarrassment,” she growled softly, although there was no real malice to her voice. She glared at him once more and continued to move toward the doorway. Once glance at Cal told Tammy to stay away – he certainly seemed like the kind of charming guy who merely was after girls for the fun of it. Certainly, the arrogance he carried himself with was proof of that!
A voice caused Tammy to turn, and there, much to Tammy’s concern was a blonde version of Nalean. She frowned slightly, afraid about anyone that might have recognised here and hence, followed her in here. It certainly did not seem like a good plan. Tammy herself had just resorted to dying her hair. That way, she needn’t worry about losing a wig or leaving her house without a disguise. A small feeling of claustrophobia reminded Tammy about how trapped she felt in her fake identity. She decided to let the matter go, knowing full well that Caleb would look after his little sister. For all his short comings, or in his eyes, victories, with woman, he was a good older brother. Of course, the words that came from his mouth certainly. She laughed warmly at the exchange and rolled her eyes slightly as she moved down into the basement.
She turned at the sound of her other name, her eyes twinkling mischievously at the two siblings. A small, mischievous smile placed itself upon her lips as she contemplated her reply. “Oh,” she pouted, looking quite surprised, “but it was my teachings that instructed her to get brown hair. I’d thought I’d get my hair dyed brown too. I was so sure that that would make the men swoon. What’ya think Cal?” She winked playfully and moved over to the far wall, placing her back against it while the siblings quibbled. For a moment, she felt serene, almost as though this were just a gathering of friends. She smiled slightly, laughing to herself at the state of events.

Nalean rolled her eyes at her brother's words. Typical Caleb to act like an overprotective big brother. She opened her mouth to say something but before she could, Caleb grabbed her in a bit of a headlock. "Cal gerroff" she managed to get out, feeling slightly miffed at her brother's reaction. He could at least stay calm about the whole thing, she still had no idea why Tammy had suddenly insisted that she wear a disguise. She attempted unsuccessfully to struggle free of Caleb's headlock as he messed up her hair.
She rolled her eyes again when spoke to both her and Tammy. When he let go of her head she straightened herself and glared playfully at her brother. "You're kidding, this is about MY love life, is your love life so bad that you have to intefer in mine?" she said shaking hear head. Typical Caleb, to worry about her getting a boyfriend. "Besides if I did have a boyfriend, you'd probably scare him away" she said playfully as she followed her brother down the spiral staircase that lead to the rebellion meeting place.
She turned to Tammy and mouthed "Thanks" when Tammy spoke to Caleb. She pulled a face at Caleb's next question. "That's actually an interesting story" she said with an innocent look on her face. "And no it doesn't involve my owl, actually it involves a blackhole called my room" she said grinning. When she had lived in her family's home, her room and always been impeccable mainly due to the fact that when she was at home she had spent as little time as possible in the house. Although her small area in her dorm at Hogwarts had been another story.
She sighed at what Caleb said about her passing her OWLs and NEWTs. "No, Cal. They call it a textbook. You open it and study the text, hence the name textbook." she said and rolled her eyes. Surely he must still have remembered how she had been when she had had her OWLs, he had been there. "Besides if I remember correctly I got more OWLs than you" she said teasing him lightly.

"Brunettes," he mused messing his sisters hair up again as he moved past her and ducked to dodge any hits that she might throw his way, before he edged over and sat down on a one-seater couch. "are goddamn hot. But it just doesn't look right on Leana." he said shaking his head, sticking his tongue out at Nalean, and he narrowed his eyes at her. Huh. OWLs. Yes, she'd gotten more OWLs than him- but that was ONLY because he'd failed Care of Magical Creatures! Who the freak gave a shiza about CoMC? He didn't want to look after animals when he was older! The only reason he'd taken the stupid subject was cause he figured it'd be a lie in- too bad he'd forgotten that he'd still have to do a written examination.
"And talking of OWLs, remind me, what was it you got in charms? An A?! Huh, that explains a lot." he stuck his tongue out at her again, building it upto his punch line. "Seriously Nalean Silverstar, did wearing that stupid wig really get to your head, and did you really start believing you were some muggle fool?!" he prodded on, in partial disbelief that his sister could've been this stupid. She was a witch for crying out loud- how on earth did she loose something?! "My dear, dear, stupid little sister," he continued, crossing his legs at the ankles, "Did you even think of using 'accio'?!" he muttered, his face screwing up into mock disbelief.
He scrutinzed her for a while, before his face broke into a smile and he began to laugh. His eyes flickered over to Tammy, who he had to admit- he thought looked much better with darker hair than his sister did. "Gotta say Tammy, you do pull off the dark hair thing better than Leany over there." he winked at Tammy, grinning his infamous mischevious grin as the lightness of the atmosphere began to fill him in. He was at the verge of forgetting that they were here for a meeting for the Rebellion- it just felt like being back in second year of Hogwarts- when no one, or nothing really made a difference. The rest of the world couldn't matter any less, it was just you and your friends. The thought made Caleb sigh inwardly, but he still kept his smile on his face.
It wouldn't hurt to pretend as if nothing was wrong, now would it? Cal's laughter trailed off into silence, as he looked from his sister to Tammy. "If only you weren't an oldie Tams, maybe I'd go for you." Cal mused, his voice sounding fairly serious, but there was an underlining of jokey-ness to his words. "Ah, y'know what, who the hell cares about age? Maybe I'd go for you anyway." Cal attempted to keep a straight face, before bursting out laughing again. "Okay, okay! Sorry- sorry- but still, you do look quite good for your age." he complimented with his infamous grin, shaking his head as he ran his fingers through his hair. Truth be told, he did find Tammy quite attractive- but he knew that she wasn't a woman to mess with. He respected her for who she was, and he really didn't view her as the other girl down the street who he'd just want to waste some time with.

Tammy smiled to herself as she watched the two quarrel. They had become just like her family. She closed her eyes slightly, smiling to herself. The bliss of the moment Tammy held close to her heart. These moments were few and far between. At Nalean's thanks, she smiled and replied: "Always here for a fellow lady. These men only really think we're here for their pleasure," she smiled mischievously and winked playfully at Cal. "So, any latests conquests? I do feel sorry for the woman you coerce into thinking they'll have a meaningful relationship." She stuck out her tongue playfully before laughing slightly.
"Stop teasing your sister," she said, laughing. Amusement touched her lips as she struggled to keep her mirth under control. Those two were always entertaining. She vaguely listened to the two's arguments. "Cal's right on one thing. Accio definitely will solve your little issue. Although, I could probably just dye it for you.," she mused slightly. "Maybe purple this time?" A slight smile still remained on her lips, feeling light and very free from the bonds of responsibility. Most of the days were spent planning or looking for people or solutions. It was nice to finally relax and just spend time with her friends. Time pressed steadily on, and there was a certain urgency to everything she did. There was no time to just enjoy. Time, time, time, was everything the world was reduced to. Where had it all gone? She remembered that for years ago, there was some time for herself. She would not mind getting some of that back. It was not that she resented this position or the turn of events. She just wanted some time for herself.
She frowned at Cal's next words, feeling slightly affronted. She pouted slightly, pretending to be hurt. She looked over Cal. He certainly was good looking, and he certainly knew it. Tammy knew it too and when he glanced at her, sometimes, she could not help but to have her heart skip a beat. Nothing would come out of it, she was certain of that. His words were nothing less then a joke. A twisted sort of smirk, touched her lips at his words. "Oldie?" she gasped, pursing her lips slightly. "Well mister still in diapers, perhaps I would forget that little offence if you asked me out to dinner nicely. I know I'm a bit below the bimbos you usually pick up." Her eyes twinkled playfully, as she was half serious.

Nalean rolled her eyes as Cal messed up her hair and commented that Brunettes were goddam hot, but that Nalean didn't look right being a brunette. "You just say that cause you're used to seeing me as a blonde" she said playfully shoving Caleb. She grinned at the memory of her getting more OWLs than Caleb, he wouldn't admit it now but at the time he had been pretty jealous of her geeting more OWLs than him. He had always considered himself to be the smart one between the three Silverstar siblings, then again there wasn't much competition from Luc.
"No I got an A in Herbology, and an E in charms you nitwit" she said rolling her eyes playfully. “Sheesh, I didn’t know you had so many issues with muggles” she muttered in mock irritation. She had thought of using accio, just she had been scared that every wig that was close-by would then come zooming into her hands. "Yeah I did, it's just there's this crazy wig lady who lives in the same building as me and I was scared that if I tried summoning my wig, her wigs would also appear" she said shrugging.
"And you have to admit that is a valid reason" she added sticking her tongue out at Cal. She gave Tammy a look of mock horror at her suggestion of her dying her hair purple. "Or not, seriously Cal probably nearly had a conniption when he saw me as a brunette, didn't you Cal?" she said glancing at her brother with an innocent look on her face.
She loved spending time with Cal, since he had graduated from Hogwarts they had been unable to spend alot of time together, mainly because either Nalean had had classes to attend or Cal was off somewhere doing Auror duties. She sometimes regretted not training to become an Auror as then she and Cal could have spent more time together, but she knew that she wouldn't be able to become an Auror simply because she would have refused to punish people for not acting happy all the time.
"Wait you're calling Tammy an oldie?" she said rolling her eyes. "Seriously how old were those women that you were flirting with the other day? Thirty, no wait weren't they forty?" She said, a cheeky glint in her eyes. "You know he uses us as a standard for intelligence, if they're lower in intelligence than us they're perfect. And since I'm apparently a fool they must have intelligence that rivals a rock" she said an evil grin appearing on her face. She loved teasing Cal about his habit of flirting with most women, and the fact that most of them were giggling bimbos.

a fire zone, where poets speak their heartThe air had that sort of stillness about it, the kind that only happened in winter, when the grass was thick with frost and the days were clear but biting. Maggie was amazed – the day felt so calm, but as she made her way down the high street, you could see the muggles bustling about frantically, trying to get as many bargains as they could, arguing over presents and reprimanding crying children for their whining. It was a Tuesday morning, so it was mainly parents with pre-school children or older people that were crowding the streets. Despite the deafening noise and the fact that she was being jostled every 3 seconds, Margaret smiled a warm, wide grin. Muggle were just so – she didn’t want to say simple, because they weren’t stupid – uncomplicated. They didn’t have magical regimes to think about, where your government could have you on the floor without touching you. That thought slightly dampened her spirits, but nevertheless, she was still in a very good mood.
She had been surprised when it was announced that the next rebellion meeting was to be held in the basement of a popular muggle coffee shop, but she hadn’t doubted Tammy’s judgement. Trust was paramount to the rebellion’s cause – if you couldn’t trust the government, you had to be able to trust those with you, or else there was no hope. She smiled again, but this time it was hidden by her large, woollen scarf, as she pushed her chin into her chest, burying her mouth in amongst her jacket and scarf, and looking at the ground. Trying not to step on anyone’s toes, she negotiated her way around the ever growing line and shuffled into the coffee shop, lifting her head, smile still on her face, to scope the room quickly. It was full to bursting, clusters of red-nosed, rosy cheeked muggles huddling over their warm coffee cups, obviously delighted with the warmth it brought, before they hurried out again, taking their temporary heat-source with them. That brought another unexpected smile to her face, and she set off at a cheery half skip towards the stairs.
Taking the stairs two at a time, she leapt up towards the second floor, met by more people, these ones looking a little warmer, and very smug about getting a seat upstairs, protected from the gust of wind that blew through every time somebody opened the door. She shook her head, resisting the urge to laugh. It was all just so... she struggled to find a word to describe it. It was cute, to be perfectly honest. They looked like the 5 year old that had won the prize for the best finger painting. She shook her head again, her wavy brown hair falling across her face, and hurried along, finding the door marked “cleaner’s equipment”. She slipped inside and skipped down the staircase, meeting the faces of Tammy, Nalean and the auror she had seen in the Hog’s Head.
She jolted to a stop, mid step, and for one sickening moment she thought that he was going to arrest them all. Pushing the irrational thought out of her head, and letting her face show only a mild sort of surprise, she studied the scene. They seemed perfectly at ease. Of course the rebellion would have contacts at the ministry. Maggie was being stupid now. She finished the step that she had frozen on, and smiled sheepishly at the group of people before her. ”Hello?” she said tentatively, pushing her hair back, and waiting for a response. Caleb scoffed at his sister and Tammy, shaking his head in mock disappointment as the two women began ganging up on him. "This is quite enough! I was not flirting with those women!" Cal had to sigh as he picked up a little peice of empty 'paper' as the muggles called it and scrunched it into a ball and threw it at Nalean. "I was talking to them. If talking to women means I am flirting with them, then the word 'flirting' has truly lost it's essence!" Cal let out a loud exaggerated sigh, mock outrageous blinking off his face before he burst into a fit of chuckles rolling his eyes, before he made himself more comfortable in his seat and turned his full body to look at Tammy.
"Dinner? Why Tammy, now, we all know you're attracted to me. It's okay, all you had to do was tell me! I'm sorry you feel that way Tammy, but you know, men like me, we just, can't settle-" Cal winked at Tammy, before shooting a side glance at Leana, laughing internally at the expression on her face. "-but just to make your day, okay, I'll take you out for dinner. That'd perhaps be the highlight of your life wouldn't it?" he teased, winking at her again before he turned his head, shaking it a bit as he looked over at Nalean, making a screwed up face in her direction. If the two girls were going to insist on him being a bit of a womanizer, he could sure as hell work on their words and act like one for their entertainment.
He stretched his neck, and flexed his fingers, as he heard footsteps coming down. Finally, he thought. Not that he wasn't enjoying himself- but they were here for a purpose, and that was to discuss the Regime, and see wat the Rebellion could do in order to stop them going too far. No sooner did the woman became visible, the expression on her face had Cal doubling over, laughing his head of- quite literally. He was expecting some horrified reactions, but the expression on the woman who he'd met at the Hogs Head previously was just downright hilarious. "Hello," he replied formally, trying to muffle his laughter as he rolled his eyes.
"Maybe me being here isn't a good idea afterall- I think I just scared our latest addition."
